Green entrepreneurs got right to business this morning at the Opportunity Green Conference in Los Angeles; founded by Mike Flynn and Karen Solomon. Speakers and attendees alike are here sharing ideas on sustainability, profitability and our challenging economy. The speaker roster is diverse at it is impressive - our own Zem Joaquin spoke this afternoon on a panel titled “What’s Hot What’s Not What’s Next: The latest Trends in Sustainability”. Earlier this morning, Patagonia’s Vice President, Rick Ridgeway offered invaluable insight on the long road to sustainable success, as well as their commitment to being a leader in the green industry. Jane Savage, a 12 year design alum at NIKE, presented their ’Considered Design’ line; an impressive commitment to a closed loop production cycle. We can all sleep in peace knowing that Nike’s Jordan’s from this point forward will always be ‘Considered’!
