Today is the Frickin’ Day
Date: September 8, 2008 | Category: Fashion, Media, Men, Women

Thanks to a Daily Candy tip, the entire ecofabulous crew has new shirts on the way. Six of fashion’s most notable up-and-coming designers including Rogan, Rag & Bone and House of Diehl have come together with a common goal: using their skills to bring the people of Burundi a solar-powered hospital. All t-shirts are 100% organic cotton and were designed and made exclusively for Just One Frickin Day in a numbered limited edition. Our team was turned on by Philip Lim’s light bulb top, but there are quite a few cuties for both men and women. A designer tee never felt so good.

Dig a little deeper though, and you’ll see that your connection could be much greener than you even imagined. (more…)

Weaving a Better Life One Vote at a Time!
Date: August 27, 2008 | Category: Events, Featured, Lifestyle, Media
If a few mouse clicks were all it took to contribute to efforts aimed at eradicating human trafficking and that just happened to benefit the environment, would you seize the opportunity to do such good? Well, said chance is upon you. The Members Project from American Express intends to grant $2.5 million dollars to the top-voted orgs among the 1,190 who have entered.
The ecofab nomination is the joint venture between Architecture for Humanity and Lulan Artisans, so that they might develop off-the-grid weaving cooperatives as an alternative to the sex trade in South Asia. And in doing so, producing beautiful, sustainable textiles. They’re 80 votes shy from making the top 25. By simply casting your vote, you will help launch this beautiful initiative into action. There are lots of excellent options, so cast a vote to create a better collective conscience. Click here to get to it!
