It’s a Cinch

You’re probably accustomed to seeing cork as a wine stopper, but the multifaceted material can be put to several creative uses. Recently, ecofabulous has featured cork in the form of flooring, furniture, and even an iPad case, but we’re especially impressed by the design ingenuity of the CLIFF BELTS accessory pictured above. These corky belts are original in ways that predictable black and brown cowhide waist cinchers aren’t: there’s not a trace of leather in the belts, and their natural texture has a way of developing a lovely, wholly unique patina with wear. As an added bonus, its buckle easily detaches, ensuring that you’ll never be “that person” accidentally beeping your way through airport security ever again. Boasting such functional innovations, the stylish, reservible design is enough to give any superhero’s utility belt a run for its money. Holy eco-brilliance, Batman.
