Fall Into Glamour

Intrigue, allure, and a touch of the gothic characterize the Autumn/Winter collection by Minna, a U.K.-based label that’s won the approval of both fashion editors and savvy consumers of eco-luxe clothing. Communicating subtle sexiness rather than garish glamour was designer Minna Hepburn’s aim—a goal she achieved with élan this season. One need only look to the lacy Pauline dress, romantic texturing of the Florence dress, or structured sophistication of the Peggy cape for examples of Hepburn’s design triumphs.

Environmental issues are just as important to Hepburn as high style—more so, perhaps. Minna is where her two passions collide, which is why each piece is made of organic, recycled, and locally produced materials via ethical production techniques. Waste, hybrid constructions, and outsourcing are big no-nos for Hepburn. Socially conscious business practices, sustainability, and beauty, on the other hand, are yes-yeses.
