It’s somewhat mind-blowing, really. Whether you live solo in a studio in New York City or house a family of four outside of San Fran, one thing is universal: every single surface in your dwelling, no matter how neat or clean freak-ish you are, still manages to get itself completely and utterly (and sometimes magically) dirty.
While we encourage staying planet-friendly all year ’round, we know that this week in particular is a special one. So in the spirit of Earth Week, we say this: take a look at what’s around you right now — the desk you’re sitting at, the kitchen counter you’re leaning on — and really rethink how you keep it all clean.
When it comes to green cleaning basics, our go-to is the EPA-registered Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner from Seventh Generation. It wipes out 99.99% of household germs botanically using thymol, a component of thyme oil. It doesn’t leave streaks behind. And we’re always happy with its fresh Lemongrass Citrus scent, a pleasant reminder that you can be green and (finally!) clean. (You know, until your supper splashes on the stovetop during meal prep tonight.)
