ecofabulous Faves, Fashion:
Piecing Together the Future
One women’s trash is another’s treasure. We’ve heard the story time and again, though nothing could have prepared us for the treasure trove of designer Elizabeth Brunner’s ecofashion label, Piece x Piece.
A personal response to the overwhelming waste produced by the fashion industry (The U.S. textile industry is the 5th largest contributor to CO2 emissions in the United States), there’s something inherently uplifting about the line - effortlessly stylish, yet each piece created from scraps destined for the landfill.
Elizabeth sources the highest quality discarded luxury fabrics from companies like Isda & Co., Erica Tanov, and gr. dano, an extremely involved and consuming process, but the end result is a line that seamlessly (or with quite a few, perfectly stitched seams, actually) fuses the past together for a stronger, more beautiful future.
