Aloha Baby

Die hards aside, Aloha shirts rarely make it on the “to keep” list at the end of surf season. A family-run business, based in Hawaii, called Muumuu Heaven, rescues vintage Hawaiian shirts and creates decorative pillow cases that look as much at home on a contemporary sofa as they do on the beaches of Florida Keys. Handmade by the founder’s family, 1% of the proceeds are immediately donated to the preservation of the coral reefs in the region. Our pick is the konichiwa pillow, now on sale at one of our favorite fair trade and design-conscious boutiques, Shop Equita.
