Evolved Lighting
Date: July 1, 2008 | Category: Home Furnishings, The Home

When a stunning lamp shade takes its name and shape from an underwater creature that has remained unchanged for 500 million years, you might not expect it to be modern. The Nautilus is laser cut from 100% plantation grown and managed Australian hoop pine plywood and is handmade into this thoughtful bent shell shape. When the lamp is switched on, the light creates a soft pattern on the surrounding surfaces, i.e. organic-mood-lighting. Designed by eco-enthusiast Rebecca Asquith in New Zealand and sold through her designers’ coop Unless, the lamp packs flat for ease in shipping and can be assembled in minutes upon arrival. I guess it is time to Evolve.
