Countertops - What do Berkeley and Italy have in common besides cafes? A wide variety of recycled glass counter tops. But they aren’t the only participants. This game is getting a lot of play since it is such a hot material. Manufacturers use up to 95% recycled glass and concrete, creating a super sturdy, scratch and heat resistant surface. For a much more uniform look, Richlite is primarily FSC certified wood-derived paper treated with phenolic resin and baked to create a solid color sheet. Used as a skate park surface, it is tough enough to stand up to most ginsu-weilding chefs.
