Tile and Error
Date: April 30, 2006 | Category: Green Building
I searched high and low for something similar to beautiful Bisazza mosaic glass tiles, which are very refined and come in an enormous variety of colors and iridescents. The only thing that resembled an eco-friendly alternative was the very rustic Oceanside line, only consisting of SOME recycled glass. So the search continued until I found Eco Terr by Coverings, which will quell any guilt as well as satisfying all aesthetic ambitions. The line is identical to virgin Italian glass mosaics both visually and economically, but is made of recycled material and helps toward LEED status. I am also a fan of Sandhill’s stunning squares. If you just aren’t into this trend but want waste-reduced vitreous tiles, Coverings and Sandhill have a wide variety of other options or check out Eco Friendly Flooring for bright geometric styles.
