Is Fido Watching his Figure or Doing it for the Environment?
Date: December 13, 2008 | Category: Media, Pets, The Home

Pasta, rice, quinoa, oats and vegetables – a healthy, well-balanced dinner is served… for Fido. That’s right, V-dog vegan dog food is made of such high grade natural ingredients, you could probably eat it yourself (not that we are advocating for such action). Tai (our discerning golden retriever tester) gobbled the sample up in 30 seconds and spent the rest of the evening sniffing around his bowl for more. So if you plan on making a new year’s resolution to kick the meat habit, is the family pup going to be the only carnivore?
Winner of a national PETA award for “Best Cruelty-Free Dog Food,” V-dog doesn’t use any artificial colors or preservatives and never tests on animals. Recognized as the original vegetarian dog food, it has been in production in the UK since 1980, only making its debut in the US in 2005. To top things off, V-dog’s packaging is made from recyclable materials and uses only water based inks. Get two 5.5lb bags for $26 and when you’re ready to fully convert, the 20lb bag is a better deal at $37 or the 33lb bag at $49, but you might want to go slow.
Did we mention it’s seasoned with rosemary and parsley? Just remember it is for the family canine.
