New Twist on Grandma’s Casserole
Date: January 30, 2008 | Category: Kitchen, The Home
We seem to do a lot of worrying about food these days… Is it organic? Free-range? Shade-grown? Not to mention, we avoid plastics and (begrudgingly) gave up the, seemingly, magical power of Teflon. Now, Colombia’s handmade La Chamba cookware is the only thing we want coming between our locavore treats and us. The lead-free, non-toxic casserole dishes and bowls can be used in the oven, on the stove, and even in the microwave. The rich deep black hue comes from micaceous clay, native to central Colombia, and the pottery’s origins can be traced back 700 years. We say, tradition trumps a trendy fad any day!
