No Place Like Home Sweet

There’s a certain transition point when a house becomes a home. The sense of welcome and familiarity, a true expression of the creative souls that live inside and small touches of the family’s personality and character. But how do you get that sense of warmth without cleaning your wallet out cold? A recent discovery of Home Sweet block printed fabric and home goods has shown that all you need is a little hand-made, sustainable love.
Using hand-cut printing blocks and water-based inks, founder Jennifer Nelson performs a true labor of love as she personally transforms sustainable fabrics (Home Sweet currently uses hemp, soy and organic cotton) into beautiful art creations. Drawing inspiration from different eras and interior styles, the patterns are fresh and modern while having an innate timeless quality. Purchase gorgeous finished goods like pillows, table runners, lamp shades and more or settle on a pattern you love and purchase fabric by the yard to try your hand at creating something custom for your humble abode (we’ve had visions of the Apple Blossom Fabric making a gorgeous upholstered headboard in a sunlit room!).

Her drum shades are gorgeous! I can see using these to make a gorgeous quilt for a child, stuffed animals for babies, or a vintage style apron.
