Closet of Eden
Date: May 14, 2008 | Category: Clothing, Kids

This post may seem like eco-nepotism, but I assure you that you will not be disappointed if you make a pilgrimage to Eden’s Green Closet, the enviro-kid outpost owned and operated by my little sister, Emily. It’s located on Abbot Kinney, the hip part of Venice, where people are conscious and conscientious
about their tread on the earth (home of the green luxury beauty shop, Vert, see our past post). The store combines the principles of recycling and reuse with organic fashion.
Half of the store is filled with racks of recycled clothing (think Decades meets
Buffalo Exchange for the small set), all washed and sorted, while the other half of the store is dedicated to brand new organic and sustainable children’s clothes. It is also a great place to stock up on healthy sunscreens and bath products. Thankfully, there’s even a bathroom complete with a changing station, Seventh Generation diapers and wipes and a potty seat. And on the other side of a four-foot-high doorway is a play area with dramatic play equipment, a library and a puppet station - so kids play while you shop! Coming soon is story time once a week with a few fun celebrities and some grandma’s too. And twice a month you can attend a parenting workshop, class or informative meeting (click here to find out
more). Stay tuned for product updates. Needless to say, I am extremely proud of my baby sister and would love to hear your feedback!
