The Voyage
Approximately 525 nautical miles off the coast of mainland Ecuador lies the Galapagos Archipelago, one of the world’s most remote, unique and magical areas. The Galápagos Islands and the surrounding 27,000 square miles of ocean form an Ecuadorian national park, a biological marine reserve and is a UNESCO “World Heritage Site.”

Getting to the Galapagos Islands, one flies into the World Heritage City of Quito, overnight and onward to the Islands. In Quito, participants have the option of an historic urban excursion with architect Nathaniel Corum.

This special Galapagos expedition takes place on board the 192’ expedition vessel EVOLUTION. This yacht offers an ideal platform to explore and enjoy the Galapagos Islands. The itinerary has been custom built to provide participants with an insider’s viewing of the Galapagos and is being offered to a select and intimate group, with limited spaces being made available.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience the unique natural world of Galapagos, while at the same time gaining an important ecological perspective of this important area and all its forms of life. The specially chosen expert naturalist guide leading this expedition will provide participants with a educated and fascinating view of the wildlife, fauna and geology on the various islands as well as in the water where whales, orcas, turtles, sharks, marine iguanas and all forms of sea life can be experienced while snorkeling, kayaking or on deck.

Other special experts will be leading this expedition, including Cameron Sinclair, co-founder of Architecture for Humanity, and Mary Crowley, President and Founder of Ocean Voyages Inc. and Ocean Voyages Institute, as well as Nathaniel Corum, AFH Head of Education Outreach, Senior Fellow, Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA).
