Discarded to Divine
You like to think of yourself as quite the thrift shopper, turning dime-store finds into high design – but honey, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. San Francisco’s annual Discarded to Divine event to benefit the St. Vincent De Paul Society is right around the corner, where donated clothes are transformed into one-of-a-kind creations auctioned to help the poor and homeless.
The main event takes place May 7th but a free preview night at the De Young Museum is scheduled for this friday, April 17th! Come check out the incredible pieces (new this year – home decor!) as you sip on wine and mingle beneath the works of art that inspired the designers.
ecofabulous founder Zem Joaquin was asked to judge the pieces and help decide which of the top designs will be modeled on the runway May 7th for a live auction – come scope out your favorites this Friday so you’re ready to bid in May.
A testament to the beautiful creations made from what would otherwise be tossed into the landfill, Discarded to Divine is an ecofabulous event you won’t want to miss!
