Fabrics You’ll Want to Wear
Date: October 6, 2008 | Category: Clothing, Fashion, Men, Women
A few years ago, the idea of draping yourself in recycled polyester would have brought to mind images of Carol Brady or musty old garments. Today, the word recycled is often synonymous with wearable, eco-chic clothing. But if you are still on the fence, peopleWearSF will remove any questions about the viability of recycled fabrics.
Setting out to change preconceived notions about repurposed wares, the fashion apparel trade company is sponsoring the event, where local designers and apparel manufacturers in the San Francisco Bay Area will have the opportunity to get a glimpse of these still-emerging textiles. The first-ever Sustainable Fabric Trade show takes place Friday, October 10th between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the San Francisco State University Downtown Center campus, located at 835 Market Street between 4th and 5th Streets.
Closed to the general public, designers and apparel manufacturers should contact peopleWearSF for information.
