Green Bag It

lunchbagcollage

Mouthwatering, homemade organic lunches deserve to be prettily packaged in a way that pays homage to the bounty of seasonal ingredients they’re chock-full of. In other words, a brown bag won’t cut it, but a green bag definitely will. Sure, you can reach for one of the many canvas totes you have on hand, but containers tend to slip slide around in the roomy sacks, leading to tragic salad dressing spills and leakages. (You have no idea how many vinaigrettes we’ve lost as a result over the years.)

Enter Fluf lunch bags, which, despite their name, are anything but frilly, throw away accessories. So much more swank than paper and canvas bags, these slouchy yet durable totes easily hold food and drink and are made of 100% certified organic cotton free of BPA, phthalates, lead, and other less than savory ingredients you wouldn’t want near your noshables. They’re also water resistant and wipeable, meaning you won’t have to send them to the dry cleaner or spend hours crying, “Out, damned spot!” as you try and scrub away juice stains. The kid- and adult-appropriate bags come in an array of designs described as pure “awesomeness” and “pretty darn cute.” We agree, and are especially fond of the Union Jack and Eat a Salad versions. And, for small servings, there are water-based ink printed snack packs, too. All of a sudden, the phrase “doggy bag” doesn’t seem so gauche.
