An Inside Look at Liz’s Antique Hardware

While the practice of recycling and re-use is always a positive thing for the earth, it’s not always pretty. However, Liz’s Antique Hardware manages to (seemingly effortlessly) bring re-use to another level - making it beautiful, artistic, and planet-positive all at the same time. One of our favorite shops in LA (you’ve seen Liz’s stuff in more than one ecofabulous showhouse), we love that she not only starts with an innately-green antique business, but she carries those principles through to all parts of her operations - reducing and reusing wherever possible, noting that “the only thing that’s not reused is the tape.”

Doing the grunt work for you, Liz knows how to patiently sift through what many would just throw out, and emerge with amazing vintage finds. It’s almost impossible to browse her eBay store, or visit her brick-and-mortar store and art gallery in Los Angeles and not be inspired to start your own DIY home project.

But, don’t just take our word for it. Our friends at eBay Green Team got a chance to go behind the scenes with Liz herself. Check out the video below to see firsthand how she naturally blends green practices and business.
