Consciously Curated:

The Art of Wayne White

Ever wonder who buys those cheesy landscapes that have been left behind in thrift shops to gather dust? Wayne White - that’s who. He is an insanely accomplished American artist, and instead of buying brand new canvases when starting a project, he chooses to paint his tongue-in-cheek text based work on previously loved, super tacky, badly framed, mass-produced 1970s lithographs. Sigh… It doesn’t get much more fabulous than that!

So nice to see Wayne showcased on your blog - which I love!

I have been a fan of his original and snarky art for years. A little known, and super awesome, fact about Wayne is that he was one of the original creators, with Paul Reubens, of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse!

Ha! I almost added the info about Pee-Wee’s Playhouse! He’s definitely a creative genius!
