We had a major “a-ha!” moment when we came across AHAlife‘s savvily curated collection of Upcycled Favorites. All of the lovingly created products adhere to the upcycle approach of using already existing materials to create new, fully functional goods. Turning potential waste into whimsical new wares, some of the biggest names in green style (including ecofab favorites Elvis & Kresse and Lauren Bush) have turned out original designs that make the best of everything from reclaimed fire hoses to sail cloths to recycled gold. Our favorite piece is the most quirky and clever of them all: a sturdy throne chair made of discarded horseshoes. Truly, the ethos of the entire project serves as a good luck charm for our collective future.
