Some Juicy Gossip
Date: October 1, 2008 | Category: Food, Food & Drink, Kids
Here’s the scoop: I try to buy fresh ingredients as often as possible but juicing an apple isn’t quite my speed. So reading labels is essential, and I have grown accustomed to wading through long lists of ingredients to make sure drinks are pure enough for my family. That’s why I love Nana Mae’s Organic Apple Juice.
“Ingredients: Pure pasteurized unfiltered juice from select ripe apples, organically grown and organically produced.” Period.
Though I prefer my kids to get their fruit in whole form, occasionally we indulge them in a little juice (I like to make popsicles with various flavors). It is sweet enough to appeal to kids but has a beautifully earthy apple taste that feels very grown up. There are two “flavors,” Mid-Season Heirloom Varietal and Gravenstein Apple Juice. No tricks, just a taste treat. Wow, I’m getting thirsty!
