Punch Drunk (eco) Love
Three cheers to a shared passion for delicious wines and a better planet! We’re pleased as spiked punch to announce the launch of eco.love wines, brainchild of sister-and-best-friend duo, Andrea and Robin McBride.
Crafted in New Zealand, the eco-friendly collection is certified carboNZero, which means an ongoing reduction and offsetting of CO2 emissions. Production methods include sustainable winemaking, the utilization of clean energy, recycled glass for bottles, natural inks for labeling (and aren’t those labels gorgeous!), and the continual restoration of natural wetland habitats near the winery. But the real hope of the McBride sisters? “We just want people to have as much fun drinking the wine as we did making it!”
eco.love wines launched with their Sauvignon Blanc and Reisling at $16.99 a bottle, and promise to take us deeper in early 2011 with their Pinot Noir. After a private tasting at ecofabulous HQ, we see no reason you shouldn’t order a case, get a little toasty this holiday season and chock it up to supporting sustainable farming and carboNZero wines!
