For all Eco-Chicks!

Last month, ecofabulous was at the New York launch party of Starre Vartan’s new book, The Eco Chick Guide to Life: How to Be Fabulously Green.

The Eco Chick Guide to Life is chock full of helpful hints to become a greener consumer, effortlessly and fabulously. Vartan is the founder and editor of the blog eco-chick.com. Three main chapters – your body (encompassing beauty and fashion), your home and your planet – allow you to quick flip to your areas of interest, from flower arrangements to road trips. Throughout the book are sections called “Green Shopping Lists,” featuring responsible, sustainable, organic products Vartan, a trained scientist, endorses.

There are lots of juicy tidbits to sink your teeth into (like a recipe for homemade, natural toothpaste with no packaging waste!). We also love that Vartan extols the virtues of how our foremothers lived: gently, locally, cheaply, and with style. Simply put, this book is a great reference guide for any eco chick, both expert and novice.
