Drinking Honesty is a Good Policy

Water is fabulous, but every now and then we just need something with a little more oomph. One of our favorite new bevies here in the ecofabulous office are the line of teas and “ades” (as in lemon) from Honest Beverages.

For the most part, the ecofabulous staff sticks to drinks that don’t come in a plastic or glass bottle, or in a paper cup. We can be spotted at all hours toting our travel mugs to the coffee shop, or filling our Klean Kanteens at the water filter. But when the craving for something with a bit more flavor hits, some of us journey out for an Honest Tea or an Honest Ade.

The beverages are very tasty, flavored with only with fruit juice and organic cane sugar. The entire line – which includes 28 yummy flavors like Cranberry Lemonade, Citrus Green Energy Tea, Moroccan Mint Tea, and three flavors in juice pouches, especially for kids – is certified organic and packaged in PETE, a fully recyclable, Phthalates-free plastic, which won’t leach and uses less energy to produce and ship than other types of plastic bottles. Or, to create even less waste, we’ll occasionally buy a 64-ounce bottle for the whole office to share in our metal containers.

So next time you have a hankering for something with more zing than water but don’t have the time to make a pitcher of homemade iced tea or lemonade, Honest Beverages are a great choice. Just don’t forget to recycle!
