Light My Fire

Women of all ages have an affinity for sweet-smelling candles. The mood-setters are hands-down the most inexpensive way to soothe your senses and brighten your day. But make sure you’re infusing the right kind of “essence” - conventional candles are made from petroleum-based paraffin (inherently non-renewable) and emit soot containing known carcinogens and neurotoxins - the same that’s let off by diesel fuel! Thankfully, petroleum-free, vegetable-based candles abound, like those from Linnea’s Lights, a mother-daughter run company specializing in hand-poured natural soy candles.
The 100% soy wax candles burn clean, but this doesn’t mean they are short on fragrance. All candles are triple scented with pure essential oils to ensure that perfect scent lingers for the entire burn. And eco attributes aside, the candles are just plain beautiful. Housed in gorgeous boho-chic recycled packaging, printed with soy inks, the candles are reminiscent of a vintage apothecary. We’re partial to the Linden and Sweet Grass scents, but hope to try them all eventually!
