Launch of 5-Part Web Documentary!
Whether you saw us live at Dwell on Design, or have been learning about the MODERN LIVING Showhouse we created via our interactive photo tour, we are thrilled to share the project story even further. In partnership with eHow.com, we have just launched our five part web documentary series chronicling the story of the MODERN LIVING Showhouse and many of the players involved in bringing the experience of stylish, sustainable living to life.
From Deconstruction to Design: A Pre-Fab Story starts in San Francisco with ecofabulous founder, Zem Joaquin, where the home is designed, and moves to Austin, Texas, where the house is built with reclaimed materials - galvanized metal and pine shiplap gathered from an 1830s German farm home in Texas. The final destination is Los Angeles, where the house is furnished by our team at ecofabulous for the Dwell on Design show, and auctioned off via eBay Giving Works with proceeds to benefit Global Green USA.
From Zem: “I want to teach and mentor people to create beautifully designed sustainable spaces and become eco-experts in their own right. Through my own journey into sustainability, I transformed my home into a healthy environment without sacrificing any of my own personal design aesthetics. My goal is to educate people about healthy living and inspire them to live an ecofabulous life. I hope this series allows me to share and engage with a wide, eco-aware audience. Enjoy!”
We will be profiling the series on ecofabulous.com over the next week, or feel free to watch all five straight through on eHow.com.
