Product Spotlight:

Make Love Not Trash(bags)

makelove

The ironic (and unfortunate) thing about a lot of the “reusable” bags being marketed and distributed under the guise of eco-friendly, is that they are often made from materials that are, in fact, not eco-friendly. Yes, reusing items is a big tenant of environmental consciousness. But let’s go a step further and support products that are designed for reuse and designed with our planet (and the workers that manufacture them!) in mind. Our current favorite is a line of bags with a strong message and an even stronger commitment to sustainability – the new Safari collection from Make Love Not Trash.

The six-piece collection is made with organic cotton canvas, printed with non-toxic inks, and features organic, vegetable-tanned leather straps and antique brass hardware. We’re obsessed with the adorable wing motif, and apparently many others are as well – Zem’s been sporting the Safari Wing Tote for a few weeks now and keeps getting stopped by admirers. Order quick because some styles are already selling out (though we have a feeling MLNT will be producing more…).
