Paper-Thin Perfection

Hailing from the 300 year old beauty secret of geishas in Imperial Japan comes an all-natural and biodegradable oil-blotting sheet that is as exquisitely simple and effective as ever (isn’t that the case for all the best things in life?). Tatcha Aburatorigami blotting papers are large sheets (3.74″ x3/74″) of handmade 100% abaca leaf with small flecks of gold - this originally occurred as a by-product of the precious metal hammering done by craftsman that were creating super thin sheets to enrobe Japan’s extraordinary pavilions (makes a girl feel like royalty, no?).

The sheets, which come 30 to a pack (one pack is $12 or 3 packs are $30) are super thin, yet the unique abaca lattice weave ensures for premium strength. Slightly larger than most oil blotting papers on the market, you actually can use just one (you can even use both sides!), rather than the typical 2-3 needed with other brands. Use the sheets to remove excess oil on skin, or as an alternative to powder or makeup primer. While the effectiveness of the product is reason enough to keep a stash in your car, purse, and at work - it’s truly the insanely chic packaging that had us at first glance.
