Fashion, The EcoMan:
Announcing “The Gentlemen’s Green”
We are thrilled to announce the start of a new feature on ecofabulous. While we occasionally cover men’s fashion and lifestyle products, we are often asked for more of the ecofabulous man - not just by men themselves, but by stylish and sustainable ladies looking to outfit their guys (and since female consumers make a majority of the purchasing decisions, we wanted to make sure we’re providing all the relevant info needed to make conscious choices). Given that the current ecofab team is sans male voice, we turned to our friend (and long-time blog crush) Brad Bennett over at Commerce with a Conscience.
As the founder and editor of a daily ethical menswear blog and curator of the Commerce with a Conscience Product Guide, the internet’s only men’s-specific socially responsible shopping resource, we thought there would be no one better to share top men’s finds than him. Completely devoted to finding products of quality and longevity, Brad has long since refused to support companies whose ethics lie outside of his own. As Brad put it himself, “I work damn hard for my money, so why should I throw it away on something shoddily made or detrimental to the things I hold dear?” Brad’s new feature, “The Gentlemen’s Green” will consist of a twice-monthly round-up of the best of the best from Commerce with a Conscience.
So he’s as obsessed with researching as we are. But what gets the ecofabulous team in such a flutter? The fact that his picks are always on-trend from a design and fashion perspective and on-point from a social responsibility stance. A “one-man crusade against self-congratulatory logo tees and butt ugly recycled accesories,” we can rest assured that Brad’s curation will meet the style standards our readers have come to expect.
Brad lives in Chicago with his girlfriend, composting worms, and many house-plants (what’s not to love!).
