Showhouse Wows Dwell on Design Visitors & Could be Yours

The MODERN LIVING Showhouse, a one-of-a-kind green designer home, was unveiled this weekend at the Dwell on Design show in Los Angeles, the West Coast’s largest modern design event. Zem and the ecofabulous team collaborated with leading sustainable architect Jonathan Davis of pieceHomes to create the 520 square foot prefab house, which is a testament to high style with low impact. The showhouse enables both the eco-curious and the environmentally advanced to experience stylish, sustainable living. We’re excited that it offers visitors a tactile experience to touch and feel best-of-breed green products and learn how conscious design improves the health, safety, and beauty of homes. The Showhouse is part of the pieceHomes line of green modular homes built in Oregon by OneBuild Inc. The house is sponsored by Electrolux, ICON® Appliances, O Organics™, and Bright Green™. From July 6 through 15th, you’ll have the opportunity to bid on the house through eBay Giving Works, with proceeds donated to Global Green USA. The cycle of sustainable building will continue as the healthy house goes to one lucky buyer and benefits green building policy and education efforts in California and throughout the country.
