Product Spotlight, Talk Techie To Me, The EcoMan:

Start Me Up

At a recent event hosted by eco guru Danny Seo, we had a chance to go for a spin in the 2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid, a new green machine that’s aiming to be one of the most efficient and affordable on the road today. (And with 47 mpg in the city and on the highway and a price tag starting at $25,200, we’d say that the C-MAX is definitely in the running.) We weren’t surprised at how well the car drove, but we were pleasantly surprised at all its useful bells and whistles, like the voice-controlled phone, navigation, and all-around tech functions from SYNC with MyFord Touch, and the aha!-inducing hands-free liftgate, which lets you open the trunk with just the kicking motion of your foot. Also cool? Rain-sensing wipers and “Intelligent Access,” which lets you open and start the car without having to use a key.

Of course, the features we appreciated most of all were the vehicle’s sharp eco focus. From soy-based foam in the seats to its impressive fuel efficiency, this new hybrid from Ford has been created with the planet’s best interests in mind.
