Lookiloos.com and Scene Magazine recently teamed up to profile ecofabulous founder, Zem Joaquin. The story (written by Julia Prodis Sulek) is a fascinating look into Zem’s life and unveils everything from her 1970 upbringing on a Palo Alto commune called “The Land,” playing with chickens, dancing in the central longhouse and singing with Joan Baez in the squatters camp off Page Mill Road, to the serendipitous path that led her to being the authoritative voice in making green glamorous.
