Take the Challenge, Save the World
For 30 days in October, youth-led non-profit Teens Turning Green and its partners are hosting Project Green Challenge 2012 to inspire high school and college students everywhere to green their lifestyles—and get a shot at winning a grand-prize eco package worth $15,000.
Here’s how it works:
1. When you sign up at teensturninggreen.org, you’ll receive one challenge each day for 30 days starting October 1. These simple challenges will demonstrate just how fun, accessible, and impactful the shift from conventional to conscious living can be.
2. You’ll share your experiences on ProjectGreenChallenge.com, and acquire points and prizes throughout the process.
3. Participants that complete the 30-day Challenge can then apply for the challenge finals at “Green University.” Up to 12 finalists will be selected to attend this three-day eco-summit in the Bay Area, California, from November 30 – December 2, where they’ll learn from and work with esteemed eco leaders, present experiences from their 30-day Challenge, and work together to create unique platforms for social action.
4. A panel of judges at Green University will then select a Project Green Challenge Champion to win a unique Grand Prize package valued at $15,000. Plus, the winner and finalists will have the opportunity to work with TTG in the coming year.
Ready to take on the challenge (or know someone who fits the bill)? Head over to teensturninggreen.org to sign up and learn more. Good luck!
