Symphony, Sonny, and The Doctor are about to give Benji, Lassie, and Maru a run for their money in “Animal Tales,” a set of new videos from Farm Sanctuary, America’s largest farm animal rescue and protection organization. This touching, compelling series tells the stories of rescued cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals who call Farm Sanctuary home, as narrated by some of Hollywood’s most recognizable voices: those of Allison Janney, John Corbett, and Téa Leoni. It’s an attempt to better relay an understanding of farm animals, who are just as sweet, humorous, and endearing as our dogs and cats. First up: Allison Janney’s tale of Symphony, a shy bird with a new lease on life.
