Levi’s Makes a Splash

- Water waste is one of the most serious issues in the making of clothing. Levi’s® brand has addressed this by establishing Water<Less products. The Bay Area based company has already made more than 13 million Water<Less products and saved more than 172 million liters of water, equivalent to 726,600,812 8oz glasses of drinking water! That’s drinking water for 157,000 people for a year. I’m getting thirsty just thinking about it!
- Starting on World Water Day, March 22nd people can learn more about the global demand for clean water and small actions they can take to help those without access to it. Just go to: www.levi.com/waterless
- Here is the first action: By washing once every two weeks instead of once a week, consumers can reduce the amount of water used over the lifecycle of a jean by 23% (800 liters) plus it increases the life of the jeans! Join Levi’s employees in the 5 Day Challenge to wear style and accessorize the same pair of jeans 5 DAYS IN A ROW! Team ecofabulous is in. Are you? Tweet to @ecofabulous to let us know if you are in and we’d love to see photos of how you accessorize. Cheers!
