Consciously Curated, Holiday & Gift, Product Spotlight:

Just Handle It

This time of year, baskets are designated for holding jelly beans, bright eggs, and sugar-coated things with floppy ears. But why not invest in one that is sure to provide you with decades of chic storage? We like this Oversized Seagrass basket from West Elm ($129). The artisan-woven container made of seagrass — a self-sustaining plant found all over the Philippines — can beautifully hold towels, linens, toys, and perhaps a few chocolate goodies you’ve sneaked away from the kids’ holiday baskets for yourself. (Don’t worry. We won’t make a peep. Or even a Peep, for that matter.)

I love a basket, especially sea grass baskets as they bring a wealth of texture and natural appeal. Using a basket to create your own gifts is an excellent way to give a gift that is usable even after the holiday or occasion has past.

West Elm and Are Naturals (http://www.arenaturals.com)are two of my favorite stores. Both carry similar products, but Are Naturals sells eco-friendly products exclusively. Awesome post, thanks for the tips!
