Take a Tour of the Original Ecofab Pad!
Lookiloos.com and Scene Magazine recently teamed up to profile ecofabulous founder, Zem Joaquin. The story (written by Julia Prodis Sulek) is a fascinating look into Zem’s life and unveils everything from her 1970 upbringing on a Palo Alto commune called “The Land,” playing with chickens, dancing in the central longhouse and singing with Joan Baez in the squatters camp off Page Mill Road, to the serendipitous path that led her to being the authoritative voice in making green glamorous. Coupled with the in-depth story are incredible photos (by Desiree Northend) of Zem’s Bay Area home, the original ecofabulous pad and the catalyst for her desire to start ecofabulous.com and share her resources.
Here’s a sneek peek of Zem’s home, but click here to read the full story and take the complete home tour!
