Basket Case

This year, vow to stop buying petroleum-based neon plastic (often very low quality) baskets for any of your egg-gathering needs. Instead, invest in this handwoven number made from natural grass by artisans in Bangladesh. A steal at $10, the soft cream color makes it perfect for year-round use as a fruit bowl or for short trips to the farmer’s market.

Off to Market

In lieu of the farmer’s market today, zip on over to the Facebook Marketplace and do a little online shopping to support your favorite charity.

The new Facebook Marketplace lets you sell anything and donate the money to a charity of your choice. To kick off this new application, Facebook is launching an initiative called “Celebrities Selling for a Cause.”

Our own Zem Joaquin is selling a green ecoist cocktail purse made from misprinted luna bar wrappers to benefit Healthy Child, Healthy World. This is a very limited edition bag so bid on it now and join ecofabulous in supporting Healthy Child, Healthy World to inspire parents to protect young children from harmful chemicals.

Look for ecoist on The Find Green.
