Spread the Warmth

When the weather outside is frightful (or just when you’re in need of something cozy to cuddle up with), wrap yourself in one of Ladak’s sustainable, handmade blankets.

Appropriate for both indoor and outdoor activities, each blanket is assembled from a base of recycled sweaters, blankets, jeans, and mattresses before being adorned with ribbons and rich fabrics. Each product is truly a unique piece of skilled handicraft—no two are exactly alike. As a result, the blankets may vary slightly in size, yet their standard measurement is a roomy 78” x 55”—perfect for a day at the beach or a picnic in the park!

In addition to its commitment to sustainability, Ladak also supports social responsibility. This mission is not only reflected in Ladak’s corporate philosophy, but also in the products themselves—each blanket is named after an inspirational homeless hero (Arie and Willem are shown above) and 15% of Ladak’s profits will be donated to an Amsterdam shelter for the homeless.

Ladak blankets will be available online and at Anthropologie stores this fall.

That’s What She Said

This Little Light O’ Mine

Now that you’re a responsible adult, summer may not exactly mean three months of sweet freedom, grape popsicles for breakfast, or running through the sprinklers ‘til the sun goes down. Cheer up, grown up: summer now means outdoor parties, and no one is telling you to “go home kid, it’s getting dark!” (more…)

Upward Spiral

The “coolness” factor of your school supplies can make or break a kid pretty quickly (I still remember the day I made a friend over conversation about my New Kids On the Block pee chee folder…). All to often, sending your kids off to school stocked with eco-friendly alternatives means a backpack full of plain journals and boring brown folders. Thanks to New Leaf Paper, you can now adhere to your strict eco-standards, and have a sunny splash of color too.

The bright bird designs and leaf patterned spiral notebooks are cool enough for any kid to carry (you may want to stock up at the office too!). And knowing that the notebooks are made of 100% post-consumer content, it means that no new trees were harmed in the production.
