Make Love Not Trash(bags)

The ironic (and unfortunate) thing about a lot of the “reusable” bags being marketed and distributed under the guise of eco-friendly, is that they are often made from materials that are, in fact, not eco-friendly. Yes, reusing items is a big tenant of environmental consciousness. But let’s go a step further and support products that are designed for reuse and designed with our planet (and the workers that manufacture them!) in mind. Our current favorite is a line of bags with a strong message and an even stronger commitment to sustainability - the new Safari collection from Make Love Not Trash. (more…)

Be Jeweled

It’s true, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, with gold, silver and other gemstones trailing close behind. But after we discovered that gold mining is one of the most polluting industries in the world, (not to mention the devastating conflicts surrounding diamonds), we had no choice but to stop buying jewelry unless it was vintage or we knew where it was sourced. Going Green Below the Belt for Earth Day

It’s no secret that the ecofab ladies often sport PACT as first preference for below-the-waist coverage. Perfect organic cotton cuts paired with mod graphic designs means you can strut your stuff in pesticide-free style. And while PACT regularly donates 10% of all sales to a select non-profit (each unique style is connected to a charitable partner), this Earth Day the company has teamed up with architect David Adjaye and the Green Belt Movement of Kenya to create the newest Green-Belt inspired print. Starting today (April 16th) through April 25th, PACT will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of this collection toward the planting of 10,000 trees in Africa - planting 20 trees for every pair of Green Belt underwear sold!
