80′s Leather is No Longer Hard to Handle
Date: November 25, 2007 | Category: Bags, Fashion
Ever wonder what you should do with your worn out or out-of-date leather jackets? Designer Ashley Watson has come up with a clever solution. She scours her Vancouver thrift stores in search of soft and supple leather to reconstruct into upscale accessories. She then handcrafts each piece, incorporating some of the original features like pockets and seams into her own bags, clutches, wallets and belts. Because she is at the mercy of old leather donations, each piece is one of a kind and no two colors are alike. Birkin’s are no match when it comes to this type of exclusivity! Available in select boutiques and online at Beklina.com. I wonder if Ashley could make my 80′s red Michael Jackson wannabe into a PYT?
