Ahoy, Matey!

Whether packing for a picnic in the park, a day at the beach, or for use as a daily carry-all, a handmade Sea Bag is just the touch of nautical-chic you’ve been looking for.
Based out of the working waterfront in Portland, Maine, Sea Bags is a line of unique tote bags made from recycled sails. Aside from being inherently waterproof, the bags are absolutely sturdy (no more torn handles from trying to fit 4 books, a laptop, kids’ toys, and your water bottle inside your purse!). But it’s not just the sails that bear the story of re-use - when any of the bags contain leather accents, know that they’re recycled scraps from a shoe factory. And even the hand-spliced rope handles (a technique known to only the most authentic of experienced sailors) are made with a percentage of recycled content.
Available in multiple sizes, make sure to check out the new wine bag as well!

Cute bag, and totally sustainable! What else would they do with those old sails anyway? Besides throw them out and pollute the earth. gross. When i was looking at these bags I thought they would look great with these vegan shoes I saw on GirlieGirl Army http://www.girliegirlarmy.com …that would make for a completely eco outfit!
