Bling It On

Take that cocktail ring to the next level with finger bling from October Anniversary. It’ll be hard not to get noticed with one of these striking pieces - the rings often cover 2-3 fingers at once.

Started in February 2008 by good friends, Olga and Alexandra, the line of nature-inspired jewelry (mostly rings, save for one delicate necklace charm) is made entirely of recycled gold and silver. And since gold mining is one of the most polluting industries in the world, with acid mine drainage, cyanide spills and heavy metal pollution being some of the industry’s biggest environmental threats – an October Anniversary ring is the perfect statement piece to, well, make a statement against continued mining activity.

Most pieces in the line range from $150-$250, and are available in either recycled sterling silver or recycled yellow gold. The gold key necklace is a steal at $30 – the most delicate of charms, it hangs from a silk thread in the color of your choice.

An added plus, 10 percent of profits are donated to the Happy Hearts Fund.
