Dress This Way
Date: April 2, 2008 | Category: Fashion
I’m loving the new dress/blouse I scored at eco-outpost Embodies in Larkspur, Calif. Made askew from organic cotton with a non-toxic brown dye, this tiered wrap dress is soft and comfortable, yet edgy and chic - and it’s made here in the USA. Linda Loudermilk is one of the pioneers of eco high fashion, making a distinguished name for herself by transforming such sustainable fabrics as those derived from seaweed, milk and pine tree fibers into revered runway stunners. We’re all excited to see her branching into more accessible, everyday wear (though I’m lusting after the red floret dress for evening wear). If you don’t live near a store that carries her line, fortunately this glam frock is available online at the EcoCitizen boutique, but let’s coordinate so we don’t show up at an event modeling the same shift.

I’m glad you like it as much as I do! There are quite a few variations, so find one that suits you. I am having a hard time NOT wearing it…my other eco finds are feeling jealous, I suspect.
