Off to Market

In lieu of the farmer’s market today, zip on over to the Facebook Marketplace and do a little online shopping to support your favorite charity.
The new Facebook Marketplace lets you sell anything and donate the money to a charity of your choice. To kick off this new application, Facebook is launching an initiative called “Celebrities Selling for a Cause.”
Our own Zem Joaquin is selling a green ecoist cocktail purse made from misprinted luna bar wrappers to benefit Healthy Child, Healthy World. This is a very limited edition bag so bid on it now and join ecofabulous in supporting Healthy Child, Healthy World to inspire parents to protect young children from harmful chemicals.
Look for ecoist on The Find Green.

Thanks for putting this up, Zem! I hadn’t heard about the marketplace and what an easy way it is to support a favorite cause! I just put up one of my Dressed Up Cat bags & the proceeds will go to support World Wildlife Fund! BTW, did you know Ecoist won the “Best Green Handbag” at the Independent Handbag Designer’s Awards last June in NYC? LOVE’em!

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll put some of our heirloom seed Art Packs in the marketplace. Sustainably hand-crafted seeds in unique green packaging designed by local artists. Hope there is a small farm charitable organization to donate to!
