Post-Postmodern Dress Up
Date: April 11, 2008 | Category: Fashion, Women
For beautifully draped (and ecologically sound) dresses and shirts, turn to designer Lizz Wasserman’s company, Popomomo. Short for post-postmodern movement, Popomomo showcases simple draping and cuts that translate into bold, yet feminine, shapes. Wasserman crafts her clothing out of organic and sustainable fabrics and uses vegetable dyes and washes to achieve the bold coloring (think sunflower yellows and pumpkin oranges) in her clothing. The line is also ethically produced in downtown Los Angeles. I am currently channeling my inner green goddess and craving the Greek-inspired Hera dress, available at Sodafine.
