Flower Power
Date: March 16, 2010 | Category: Fashion, Women

As spring welcomes blooming flowers, we’re welcoming the new eco-friendly Garden Collection at H&M! A killer assortment of easy breezy tops, dresses and shorts with a romantic 70′s hippie-chic feel, the line is made up of pieces using organic cotton, organic linen, recycled polyester (made from plastic bottles or textile waste), and tencel (a cellulose fiber made from wood pulp, produced with minimal environmental impact).
We love featuring small brands and newcomers to the eco-friendly scene, but we’re equally as pleased when some of the giants start to turn their ship in the right direction. With H&M’s distribution and accessibility, we hope long-time shoppers make a bee-line straight for the garden collection and use their purchasing power to let the company know that consumers do want environmentally responsible options. That’s flower power.
