Thankfully, certain companies have developed ways to recycle this leftover fabric and turn waste into revenue and revamped clothing. DIY with John Patrick Organic & Ecouterre

As huge fans of designer John Patrick (his eco-fashion line ORGANIC is constantly sported at ecofab HQ) and of sustainable fashion site ecouterre.com, we were thrilled over the recent DIY article published on how to create a “nouveau-bohemian” skirt out of an old t-shirt. Like we always say, “the greenest product is often the one that already exists,” plus this skirt idea is totally eco and fabulous. All you’ll need is a measuring tape, ruler, disappearing ink pen, scissors, sewing machine, and thread (and the old shirt of course). Hot Mama
