Rain, Rain, Go Away

At the Corner of West Elm and Green

Nightmares on Elm Street? Not a chance. The opening of the new West Elm store in Emeryville, CA is nothing but a dream come true.

ecofabulous was present for a sneak peek before the store opened its doors to the public today, February 4th. And my oh my, were we blown away. From the green roof to the solar panels to the reclaimed wood flooring to the low-VOC paint, West Elm went out of their way to ensure the space was as environmentally conscious as possible.

The eco-chic line is aptly placed at the front of the store so hurry on over to check it all out - we’re especially loving the new delicate khadi window panels and the recycled glass drinkware (the tumbler and carafe are a perfect nightstand staple). If you’re not Bay Area-based, make sure to check ‘em out online here and stay tuned as we follow the stores’ growing intersection of style and sustainability.
